About Karin

Ever since I was a little girl I have loved to cut and glue pieces of paper. Growing up I discovered that God had given me a talent crafting different things on paper, but I never really used this gift.

However, when I had my first son, I started scrap booking, which made me rediscover my passion for working with paper. I loved it!!!

The step from my son's scrapbook to handmade cards was an easy one.

I must admit that the first card I ever made is a far cry from the cards that I make today. But even back then my friends would love the individuality and care that my cards reflected. Some years later a friend asked me if I would make the invites for her daughter's "Quince." And that is how Handmade By Karin was born. After my original sale, and with my husband's insistence, I started making different cards for friends and acquaintances. A few months later my husband's friend asked me to supply his store with cards for various occasions. And that is how my business grew: slowly but steadily. Today I regularly supply a number of stores with cards for various occasions, and I make invites for specific events.

I want to thank first of all God, for giving me that talent, and all my family and friends for making Handmade By Karin a reality in my life.
